Update:
All the information you need to know on how and where to watch Lazio host Juventus at Stadio Olimpico (Rome) on 8 November at 12:30 CET.

Current Serie A champions Juventus will take on Lazio at Stadio Olimpico in one of the most interesting matches of the Italian league, taking into account both teams were just separated by four points in the final standings last season.

The Bianconeri, sitting third in the league, have scored eight goals in their last two matches against Spezia and Ferencváros respectively, results that were boosted by Cristiano Ronaldo’s comeback after recovering from covid-19.

Meanwhile, Lazio have won their last two Serie A matches against Bolonia (2-1) and Torino (3-4) despite back-to-back Champions League draws.

Draw? The odds say no

The outcome of the match looks likely to be a home or an away win: the last draw between both teams in Serie A came back in January 2014. Since then, Juventus have recorded 10 wins, while the Biancocelesti squad have been victorious in two occasions.

Ciro Immobile ruled out due to Covid-19

For Sunday’s match, Lazio won’t have Ciro Immobile, Lucas Leiva, and goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha, after they tested positive for coronavirus. The bad news for Simone Inzaghi continues, as Senad Lulic and Manuel Lazzari are also out of action, which may mean Adam Marusic and Mohamed Fares will likely take the wing-back spots.

Matthijs de Ligt not yet ready

That said, Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo still won't be able to count on defender Matthijs de Ligt, who continues to work his way back to full fitness after a shoulder injury suffered in summer. Meanwhile, Giorgio Chiellini proved against Ferencváros he is fully fit.

Aaron Ramsey, though, picked up another knock and will be re-assessed during the international break, while Alex Sandro is also out due to a thigh injury. He is expected to be back later this month.
