Dynamo Kyiv-Barcelona: live

In the other Group G clash, Juve have come from behind to beat Ferencvaros 2-1 to also seal a place in the Round of 16. Dynamo and the Budapest side now tussle for a place in the Europa League for the third placed side.

The final whistle sounds in Kyiv and a solid second half performance sees Barça record a 0-4 win which is enough for the Catalan side to progress to the Round of 16.

Neat finish from the French striker who drills the ball into the corner of the net after fine build-up play from the Catalan side.

Griezmann makes it 4

90

The clock just ticking down now in Kyiv with Barcelona having sealed maximum points with the Braithwaite spot kick. Next up for Barcelona is a trip to Budapest to face Ferencvaros next week. 3 minutes of time to be added

89

Dest goes close with a dipping right footed effort.

Last switch for Dynamo as Shepelev exits and is replaced by Tudor Baluta

Barcelona's Martin Braithwaite celebrates scoring their second goal

De la Fuente gets a run out for the Catalan side with the US international replacing Trincao.

Much better this second half performance from Barcelona as they managed to overcome the Dynamo's resistance and deliver a solid and accomplished second half effort.

12 goals for and just 2 conceded for Barcelona in their four UCL Group G games. A very different story from their domestic league form where the Catalan side are undergoing their poorest league start for 30 years.

78

Dest does well on the right and feed a neat ball through with Puig latching onto the assist but blazes the ball high and over the Dynamo goal.

76

There can be no way back now for Lucescu's men who were undone by the second Barcelona goal. Pride and a big game against Ferencvaros in the final matchday are now the areas of focus for the home side.

Change for Barça: Pedri off and Fernandes his replacement

Another change for the home side: off:Shaparenko on: Bogdan Lednev

Dynamo change: off - Carlos De Pena on - Vladyslav Supriaga

Popov carded too for the push and a great call from the ref. who spotted the infringement after some delightful play from Koeman's team.

The Danish striker to take, steps up and fires home for his second of the night ........

Popov pushes Braithwaite and it's a spot kick for the Catalan side

Still 1-1 in Turin between Juve and Ferencvaros

Change for FCB: Pjanic, Coutinho and Lenglet make way for the the three subs (Puig, Griezmann and Alba)

63

Great work from Dynamo as the ball falls to De Pena and the Uruguayan drills the ball wide

Griezmann, Alba and Riqui Puig poised to make an entrance

Triple change for Barcelona imminent....

Griezmann and Alba set to come on for FCB

Dynamo change: Alexander Karavaev (off) - Denys Popov (on)

Changes for Dynamo Denis Garmash off and in his place Oleksandr Andrievsky

Fine poachers goal from the Danish international after a delightful flick-on from Mingueza

Aleña corner, near post flick and Braithwaite taps home for his first UCL goal.

55

Barcelona looking good now with the goal rattling Dynamo's game plan ....The home side now need to come out of their defensive shell somewhat and that needs a shuffle from the manager.

The former Ajax player finished well tucking the ball inside the far post and as it stands, Barcelona are in the round of 16

Dest fires Barcelona ahead ...Goooooooooooool

51

Good counter from Dynamo as they launch a 4 v 4 but the men in black stand tall and snuff out the danger.

50

Griezmann warms up on the Barça bench and it would suggest that the striker will make an appearance shortly.

47

Verbic goes down in the Barcelona box but just a little over theatrical from the Dynamo player and once again the referee waves play on.

47

Lucescu probably the happier of the managers at the break as Verbic fires on goal after a Lenglet error.

Hopefully things will turn around in the second 45 as both teams are ready to go in Kyiv.

The Olympic Stadium in Kyiv is the only ground where we've yet to see a goal in Tuesday's UCL action.

G

Group G live table:

The draw sees Barcelona with a foot and a half in the Round of 16

A game that has yet really to come to life with Barcelona dominating and Dynamo looking happy to soak up the pressure and strike on the counter attack. Neither keeper really called into action and goal mouth incident at a premium.

De Pena breaks and fires across the goal as Ter Stegen is called to palm the ball away. The whistle sounds with a 0-0 scoreline at the interval

44

Into the final minute of the half. Little in terms of interruptions and little on offer on the pitch to warm up the parky 4C temperature at the Olympic stadium in the Ukrainian capital. 1 minute to be added

43

Barcelona just failing to deliver the final pass and lack a creative spark with the men in white reasonably comfortable at the back.

41

Barcelona free-kick. Pjanic delivers but Dynamo clear and fail to combine (yet again) with the ball back with Ter Stegen who has had a very placid evening to date.

Juventus draw level in Turin with Cristiano Ronaldo bagging the equaliser for the Serie A side. 1-1 after 40' in Northern Italy.

37

Trincao getting involved in the action now after his shot and almost threads the ball through into the path of Braithwaite.

36

Trincao from distance .... Decent strike from the Portuguese international but his effort is straight at the Dynamo stopper.

35

Trincao goes to ground in the Dynamo box but the ref. was well placed and waves play on. VAR double checks and ratifies the decision by Mr Jug.

34

Koeman cuts a glum figure on the Barcelona dug-out as he tries to keep warm. Nothing from the pitch so far from his side to fire up the Dutch coach.

32

Despite Barcelona's dominance, the defensive discipline by the men in white is impressive. Kyiv slip-up when in possession with sloppy passing hampering their progress in creating counter attacks and transitions.

28

Coutinho unleashes a curling effort which just drifts wide. Best chance of the night from the visitors.

The men in black now stroking the ball around with poise.

A shock in Turin as Ferencvaros take the lead over Juventus. Long way to go but a win for the Hungarian champions would make the battle for second interesting.

The French defender is back on his feet and play resumes.  Shots on target after 24: Kyiv 1-0 Barcelona

Another Barcelona corner with Coutinho delivering. Lenglet tumbles in the area and collides with Mykolenko.

Barcelona very much in charge in terms of possession with 63-37 domination (%)

The ball bobbles around the Barcelona box with no man in a white shirt able to get a shot and Barcelona clear. Very hap-hazard defemnding from Koeman's side in dealing with that dead ball situation.

Pjanic carded for a tactical foul and the Bosnian international is the first name in the book tonight.

13

Another corner for the visitors after good work from Pedri and Dest. Aleña takes but easy for the home side to clear.

Barcelona slipped up again to record their poorest start to a LaLiga campaign in 30 years as they fell 1-0 to At. Madrid in the Spanish capital as Ronald Koeman's side languish in 13th place in LaLiga with just 11 points.

Dynamo sit at the summit of the domestic Ukraine top flight after a 0-2 away win over Inhulets during the weekend and the side from the capital enjoy a 3 point lead over eternal rivals Shakhtar.

The meeting at Camp Nou between both sides on 4 November ended 2-1 for the Catalan side with Barcelona playing possibly the poorest of their three Group G games to date.

6

De Pena breaks for the home side and fires the ball across the face of the Barcelona goal but the flag goes up somewhat late.

5

Barcelona enjoying the bulk of possession in the opening five minutes with every shout from the players audible in the vast empty stadium as Barça win an early corner.

Ol

No fans at the Olympic Stadium in Kyiv given the latest situation relating to the covid-19 pandemic in the nation.

We're underway in the Ukraine capital.

Barcelona set to sport their black and gold kit tonight with the home side in their traditional all white.

AS English prediction:

Paul: Dynamo Kyiv-FC Barcelona 1-2

Will: Dynamo Kyiv-FC Barcelona 1-1

temp

15' minutes ahead of kick-off and with the game starting at the local time of 22:00 CET, the mercury is dropping by the hour with a current temperature in the city of 4C/40F.

For the many FC Barcelona fans around the world asking the same question:

Group G overview:

With four games gone, it appears that favourites FC Barcelona and Juventus will progress to the Round of 16 as per the form book. Only a Ferencvaros win in Turin tonight could upset the pre-group favourites from progressing with Dynamo too needing a win to hold any hopes of advancing. Both Dynamo and the Hungarian side face off in matchday 6 and it would appear that that meeting in the Ukrainian capital could dictate who makes third place in the group and a Europa League place.

Both Dynamo and Barcelona have met on 11 occasions in European competitions with the Catalan side holding the edge with seven wins. One game has ended in a tie with the side from Kyiv winning out on three occasions.

Tonight's match official is Matej Jug from Slovenia

Finally ..... the confirmed Dynamo XI:

An hour to kick-off and still no confirmation of the starting XI for the home side.

Messi

Messi and de Jong rested for Kyiv trip: Koeman: "Messi needs to rest"

Barcelona's coach confirmed that the Argentinean and Frenkie de Jong will both be rested for the Champions League meeting with Dynamo Kyiv.

Read more on the Dutch coach's decision here

A win for Koeman's side will mathematically see Barcelona stake a place in the UCL Round of 16 with even a draw sufficient should Juventus overcome Hungarian champions Ferencvaros.

Big chances tonight for the likes of Brathwaite, Alena, Mingueza, Trincao, Junior Firpo to impress with many big names (Messi, Griezmann, Ansu, Pique etc) missing from action.

First up, the Catalan side have confirmed their starting XI:

Kick-off at the Olympic Stadium is at 21:00 CET / 22:00 local time

Hello and a very warm welcome to our live coverage from the capital of Ukraine as Dynamo face FC Barcelona in this Group G Champions League clash.
