Manchester City vs Burnley: how and where to watch - times, TV, online
All the information you need to know on how and where to watch Manchester City host Burnley at Etihad Stadium (Manchester) on 28 November at 16:00 CEST.
Manchester City will try to get some inspiration from their Champions League performances on Saturday against Burnley, a match the Citizens need to win in order to move away from the bottom half of the Premier League standings.
City have already qualified for the Champions’ round of 16 after winning the four games they have played so far, conceding just one goal. However, those numbers are very different to the ones they have chalked up in domestic competition, where they have picked up 12 points after eight games, their worst start to a season since 2008-09.
Pep Guardiola’s side, 13th in the Premier League, have won their last six meetings with Burnley, home or away (23 goals scored, one conceded) and have scored more Premier League goals against Burnley than any other club.
The visitors, who haven’t won away from home since last July, are sitting 17th in the table, one point above the relegation zone after their triumph over Crystal Palace on Monday. Before that, the Clarets had had an eight-match winless run, picking up just two points.
Guardiola has Benjamin Mendy and Fernandinho ready to go against Burnley, while Nathan Ake has returned to training after suffering a hamstring injury, but he won’t play.
The Catalan coach, with almost all of the squad available, could call upon players like Kevin de Bruyne, Aymeric Laporte, Ferran Torres or Kyle Walker.
Phil Foden could feature from the start after his performance against Olympiakos, while Sergio Agüero could play against one of his favourite “victims”: the Argentinian striker has scored nine goals in his last nine appearances against Burnley across all competitions.
Worse news for the visitors in terms of injuries, as goalkeeper Nick Pope is unlikely to feature against City after receiving a knock to his head on Monday.
Bailey Peacock-Farrell will likely replace him, Robbie Brady and Dale Stephens will probably be unavailable for coach Sean Dyche and Jack Cork is a long-term absentee for the Clarets.
