MANCHESTER CITY

"It's not true that at City we try and put pressure on referees"

The Manchester City boss Guardiola responded to a claim by FC Porto manager Sergio Conceicao that the English club exert pressure on match officials.

Manchester City travel to face FC Porto in Northern Portugal in a game which will go some way in dictating who will top group C and secure the top seeding bill in the mid-December Round of 16 draw.

Ahead of the clash, the Porto boss Sergio Conceicao claimed that the English club added pressure to referees, a claim which was emphatically rejected by the Catalan coach.

Guardiola stated: "we are not the type of team to do this, honestly. I would admit it. So one thing is an action that you don't agree [with], you can make any comment, one specific action. But it's not a part of who we are, honestly".
