American defending champion Scottie Scheffler is the bookmakers’ favorite to win the 2025 Masters this week, as the August National Golf Club hosts the year’s first major men’s golf tournament.

When is the 2025 Augusta Masters?

The 89th edition of the event, the 2025 Masters kicks off with its opening round on Thursday, April 10.

Rounds two and three are then slated for Friday and Saturday, respectively, before the tournament comes to a climax with the fourth and final round on Sunday, April 13.

What are the betting odds for the 2025 Masters?

Scheffler, who in 2024 won the Masters by finishing four strokes ahead of Ludvig Aberg, is rated as the +450 frontrunner for the Green Jacket, according to betting information provided by Oddschecker.

The world No. 1 is attempting to win his third Masters in the space of four years, having also triumphed in Augusta in 2022.

Scheffler is followed in the betting by the globe’s No. 2-ranked player, Rory McIlroy, who continues his pursuit of a first major title since 2014.

The Northern Irishman, who finished second to Scheffler three years ago, is valued at +650 to claim his maiden Green Jacket, per Oddschecker.

Third in the running is the 2023 champion, Spain’s Jon Rahm, whose odds of victory are placed at +1600.

What is the prize purse at the 2025 Masters?

Tournament organizers have not yet confirmed this year’s prize money. Twelve months ago, there was a $20 million total purse at August National, with Scheffler taking home a winner’s check for $3.6 million.
