Real Madrid vs Atlético Madrid

Oblak own goal from Carvajal's superb shot

Real Madrid went 2-0 up on the night in the 63rd minute when Dani Carvajal's pile-driver slammed off the post and went in off Oblak's back.

Dani Carvajal wheeled away in celebration in the 63rd minute of Saturday's Real Madrid vs Atlético Madrid derby. The Real Madrid right back had smashed a superb half-volley from outside the box, with the ball smashing off the right-hand post and coming back straight onto keeper Oblak's back as he dived to try and reach the shot... the ball ricocheted off the Atleti goalie and into the net to make it 2-0 to Zidane's side.

Carvajal's shot, Oblak's own goal

Carvajal, who recently became a father ran to the hoardings and celebrated by sucking his thumb, although the goal was in fact an own goal from Oblak, as the ball was coming out of the goal after hitting the post and went in off the keeper.

Madrid's first goal came from Casemiro, with a fine header from a corner after 15 minutes, and they went on to win 2-0. Real Madrid move onto 23 points in LaLiga table, cutting the gap to leaders Atlético to three points.
