Solskjaer on Cavani's impact and his request to wear the No. 7
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that first thing Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani asked about the club was whether he could wear the famous no.7 United shirt.
The Manchester United boss spoke to the media via video conference and was asked to reflect on the impact striker had made at the Old Trafford side.
"That was the first thing he asked me when I spoke to him, if he could wear the number seven!" Solskjaer told reporters after United’s 2-2 draw against Leicester City.
"Obviously we are talking about the history of the shirt. When you think of the history of his career and the experience he has had, his personality from the conversation I had with him, it wasn’t in doubt that he could handle the number seven shirt."
