Jose Mourinho discussed Totthenham's teenage midfielder Alfie Devine, who, at the age of 16 years and 162 days, become the youngest player to score for a Premier League or Football League club in the FA Cup.

Devine's record breaking goal capped off Tottenham's 5-0 win over eighth-tier Marine in third round of the competition, following goals from hat-trick hero Carlos Vinicius and Lucas Moura.

The 16-year-old made the move to North London from Wigan for £500,000 in the summer and managed to catch the eye of Mourinho in the pre-season.

"He's a kid with good potential that only came to club this summer," said the Spurs boss following Sunday's game. "He was lucky enough to have the pre-season with us because, of course, we were short of players and ... played a few friendlies with us, which gave him close contact with the first team. So he's not a stranger."
