South Korean club Ulsan Hyundai have announced the departure of one of their most important players over the past three years, the Brazilian Júnior Negrão who was one of the main reasons the club claimed its second AFC Champions League title last year.

The 34-year-old was instrumental in Ulsan's triumph having scored 7 goals throughout the campaign including 2 strikes in the final game to grant the team a victory over Iranian Persepolis.

Negrão says goodbye to Ulsan fans:

The club posted a video on its official Facebook account of the Brazilian bidding farewell to Ulsan's fans informing them of the news in which he said “I have been here for three years but now it’s time to say goodbye, I want to say thank you to everyone who worked with me here.

"I made a lot of good friends here and I just want to say thank you to all the fans who gave me a lot of love from the beginning. But now I have to change, I need to change".

“I will never forget Ulsan, I will never forget the players, the fans, and all the good friends that I made here. So, I just want to say thank you so much, and of course, I will always support you guys. I will never forget you guys so thank you so much and all the best.

Negrão has joined Ulsan Hyundai in 2018 from Daegu FC and has since then been one of the most significant players of the K league side squad.

He scored 27 goals in his first season with the team in 39 games, netted 22 times in 43 games in his second season, before taking his form to a whole new level in his last campaign scoring 35 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions and finishing as the K league highest goal scorer with 26 goals in 27 games.
