Guardiola pokes fun at pundits over Man City favourites tag

The Spaniard cited earlier predictions that his side may even struggle to finish in the top four.

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has poked fun at pundits after his side were labelled favourites for the Premier League table.

CIty have surged to top of the table after an impressive run of form following a slow start to the season which saw them languishing outside the top four until late December.

Since their 2-1 loss to Spurs on 21 November, Pep's side have gone on a 10-game unbeaten run with eight victories, the last of which was the 5-0 thrashing of West Brom that saw them overtake neighbourly rivals Manchester United at the top of the table.

City, who have a one-point lead and a game in hand, have now been handed the favourites title by several pundits, however Guardiola said he and his team pay no heed to media talk.
