All the information you need to know on how and where to watch Tottenham host Chelsea at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (London) on 4 January at 21:00 CET.

José Mourinho and Thomas Tuchel will face off for the first time in their careers as Tottenham will host Chelsea this Thursday in one of the most interesting matches of the week in the Premier League.

Both teams are now tied with 33 points, sitting sixth and seventh in the standings, although the ‘Spurs’ have one game in hand.

The hosts will try to get back to winning ways after losing their two last league games against Brighton (1-0) and Liverpool (1-3), while Chelsea has been defeated once in their four last league matches (they lost to Leicester City).

Mourinho wants to avoid a second consecutive home loss

Mourinho will also be hoping to get a win, as he has never lost successive home matches in the English competition. After having failed to beat Chelsea in his last six attempts, he could match his longest ever winless run against an opponent (seven against Barcelona).

Kane not ready yet for the hosts

The hosts won’t be able to call upon Harry Kane yet, while Dele Alli will also be unavailable due to a tendon injury.

Tanguy Ndombéle was forced off against Brighton through injury but he has recovered in time, while Sergio Reguilón and Giovani Lo Celso will miss out the game.

On the other hand, Serge Aurier will be in Mourinho’s plans against Chelsea and Matt Doherty could feature from the start. Gareth Bale continues to not impress the Portuguese coach, so his spot could be for Carlos Vinicius in this one.

Tuchel will try to impress in a big match

As for Chelsea, the injury situation is way better than their opponents’, as there have been some minor concerns over Hakim Ziyech's fitness and just Kurt Zouma and Kai Havertz seem to have some issues.

In any case, Ziyech will likely be available for the encounter, while N'Golo Kanté is ready to get back into action after recovering from a hamstring problem. Marcos Alonso and Callum Hudson-Odoi are expected to be in the starting XI.
