Inter Miami lands Kieran Gibbs ahead of the 2021 MLS season
The franchise owned by David Beckham is entering their second season in Major League Soccer and they keep signing players ahead of the season opener.
Inter Miami CF keeps adding players from Europe as they prepare to enter their sophomore season in Major League Soccer. The franchise co-owner, David Beckham, was disappointed with the team’s performance in their debut season, certainly comparted to all the hype created around them and the signings of Blaise Matuidi, Rodolfo Pizarro and Gonzalo Higuaín.
Hence Inter Miami are making a numebr of changes prior to the start of the 2021 MLS season. Phil Neville was appointed as the new manager and they signed Joevin Jones from Seattle Sounders, Shea Break who returns for another season and Ryan Shawcross from Stoke City.
Former Arsenal player to join Inter Miami
On Wednesday it was confirmed that Kieran Gibbs will also join the team ahead of the 2021 MLS season. The former Arsenal defender agreed to join Inter Miami after the conclusion of the 2020/21 Premier League season.
According to ESPN FC, Gibbs has verbally agreed a deal to join Inter Miami in the summer and he will sign a two-and-a-half year contract. The 31-year-old has been playing for West Bromwich Albion since 2017 and he will arrive as a free agent to the MLS as his contract expires in 30 June 2021.
