Bayern Munich have jumped to the front of the queue and are negotiating with Lucas Vázquez's representatives with a view to signing the versatile Galician player (who is out of contract at Real Madrid as of 30 June this year). The player has been waiting for the Spanish club to offer an improved deal which has yet to be forthcoming, hence his desire to talk to other would-be suitors.

Negotiations with Bayern ongoing

To date, early negotiations have been positive between both sides despite a final agreement still some way off with the next few days set to be critical in determining where the Spain international plays his football next season.

The 29-year-old player's intention has always to remain with the Santiago Bernabéu outfit but with the club already handling a number of renewals and his lack of enthusiasm at the club's existing proposal, has led the player to look elsewhere. Zidane is an ardent admirer of the player but the club hierarchy are committed to younger players such as Rodrygo or Vinicius who they see as being instrumental to the future of the club.

A move to Bayern Munich would be seen as a positive step for the Spain international with the Bundesliga side currently FIFA Club World Cup champions. Pavard and Sarr currently hold the right back positions with the French player yet to fully convince this season with Bayern. Vazquez could also replace Douglas Costa who will be returning to Juventus when his loan deal expires at the end of the current season.
