Mexico has won the game thanks to a goal from Hirving Lozano. Thanks for watching the play by play of El Tri against Costa Rica. This is the final game of the FIFA international break of March. Mexico has not lost against Costa Rica since 2013 and both teams will meet in the semifinal of the CONCACAF Nations League iin 3 June.

The game has ended with Mexico winning 1-0.

Joel Campbell makes a brilliant cross to the far pos, but the header from Venegas was not strong enough and Talavera was able to control it. After the play the Mexican goalkeeper received a foul and the medical crew are taking care of him.

The Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder has dual citizenship and declined to be part of the US youth national team so he could join Mexico during the FIFA international break. Álvarez didn't see minutes in the 1-0 defeat against Wales, but he could make his international debut with 'El Tri' today against Costa Rica.

Mexico is the first team to arrive to the Wiener Neustadt Stadion in Austria.

This is the starting XI for the Mexico national team. Efraín Álvarez could see some minutes in the second half and make his international debut with 'El Tri.'

Mexico lost 1-0 against Wales at Cardiff City stadium in their first exhibition match of the year. The home team was the first one to score thanks to an absolute clinical finish from Kieffer Moore inside the six to beat Guillermo Ochoa in the 10th minute of the match. ‘El Tri’ tried to generate offensive plays, but all their attempts were not effective against the midfielders and defenders from the home team.

The Mexico national team played their first friendly of the year against Wales on Saturday at the Cardiff City stadium. Unfortunately for El Tri they lost and suffered their second defeat under coach Gerardo Martino since he was appointed in 2019. Mexico wants to bounce back with a victory tonight against Costa Rica. For this game it has been confirmed that Henry Martín and Alan Pulido are didn't reach full-fitness due to minor injuries suffered last Friday during practice.

The Mexican national team will be rocking their new jersey again for their clash against Costa Rica. El Tri has defeated the 'Ticos' in their last 6 games.
