With a raft of fresh faces to call upon, David Beckham will be expecting a much better showing in his club's second campaign. So what awaits new coach Phil Neville.
With the season almost upon us, we look ahead to the games that will define how the second capaign for the Miami franchise will turn out.
Who Inter Miami play in their 2021 MLS regular-season opener?
A 10th place finish - in a conference of just 14 clubs - was not good enough for Inter Miami, even in their debut season in the MLS and with the introduction of some new players, and a new coach, hopes are high that David Beckham’s club will see a big improvement.
That challenge begins on Sunday as they face the very much more established, and successful, LA Galaxy - a team close to Beckham’s heart, of course - and Phil Neville will be unlikely to be given too much time to get his ideas working on the pitch. His first opportunity kicks off at 3 pm ET (12 noon PT) at the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale againt another new boss, Greg Vanney.
But their journey through this campaign is a long one, where every point will matter.

When are the 2021 MLS Cup playoffs?
The MLS Cup playoffs, which will involve the top seven regular-season finishers in each conference, are due to begin on 19 November and conclude with the MLS Cup final on 11 December.
Inter Miami 2021 season: how to watch or listen
The team’s games will be broadcast nationally 11 times on ABC, ESPN, FOX, FS1, Univision and UniMás. The rest of the matches will be broadcast regionally on CBS4, MyTV33, Unimas, the free Inter Miami App, and the Univision 23 App.
