Real Madrid fans livid after Hazard's elimination laughs
Moments after the full time whistle confirmed Madrid's elimination from the Champions League, images of Eden Hazard joking with his former team mates have not been well received.
Real Madrid were eliminated from the 2020/21 Champions League after a comprehensive win by Premier League side Chelsea who outplayed Zidane's men over both leagues recording a 3-1 aggregate win that sees the London based outfit progress to the Istanbul final on 29 May.
Shortly after the full time whistle at Stamford Bridge, former 'Blue' Eden Hazard went to congratulate his former team mates and the posterior images have incensed many Real Madrid supporters.
Images beamed around the world show the Belgian joking and laughing with Chelsea players moments after his own side suffered a semi-final exit from European football's most prestigious competition. Late night football chat show 'El Chiringuito' opened their programme on Wednesday night focusing on the Hazard incident with host Josep Pedrerol's opening lines to his 'editorial' being: "Real Madrid are out of Europe as Hazard finds time to laugh and joke. Two years of taking the piss out of Real Madrid fans... two years of being overweight... just another Gareth Bale".
Hazard later apologised on Instagram.
