Billboard Music Awards: Who is the host and who will be performing?

Alicia Keys, Duran Duran, Bad Bunny, and a dozen other artists will perform at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards this Sunday 23 May.

The 2021 Billboard Music Award will be held on Sunday 23 May hosted by Nick Jonas, a first for the youngest member of the Jonas Brothers. Those who tune into the ceremony can expect performances from up and coming artists like Doja Cat, and industry legends like Alicia Keys and Duran Duran.

Billboard released the full list of performers which includes, AJR, Bad Bunny, BTS, DJ Khaled feat. H.E.R. and Migos, Glass Animals, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis with Sounds of Blackness feat. Ann Nesby, Karol G, P!nk, The Weeknd, and Twenty One Pilots. Additionally, Nick Jonas will be performing with the other Jonas Brothers and Marshmallow.

What which songs will be performed?

Doja Cat and SZA will be performing their new single “Kiss Me More.” The song that has taken over Tik Tok made it to number 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the Global Billboard 100.

Bad Bunny and Karol G both won multiple awards at the 2021 Latin Billboard awards and will be performing some of their recent hits. This year, Bad Bunny took home the awards for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Artist -- Urban. The eleven-time Latin Billboard winner is expected to perform Te Deseo Lo Mejor from his 2020 album. Karol G who took home three awards at the Latin Billboard  will perform two songs, “Bichota” and “El Makinon.

Alicia Keys will celebrate the 20th anniversary of her debut album during her performance. Keys is expected to perform a medley of songs from her 2001 album, “Songs in A Mirror” including the hit “Fallin.” 'Songs in A Mirror' won Keys two awards at the 2001 ceremony.

One of the most anticipated performances of the night is that of the Korean pop sensation, BTS. To date the group has received five Billboard Music Awards and this year is nominated for four including, Top Duo/Group, Top Selling Song “Dynamite”, Top Social Artist, and Top Song Sales Artist. The group will perform “Butter” which was released on Friday 21 May.

How to watch the 2021 Billboard Music Awards

The ceremony is set to begin at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT. The show will be brought live on NBC.
