Bucks 86 vs 125 Suns: scores, summary, stats, highlights | NBA Playoff

The Brooklyn Nets demolished the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semis with a 39 point blowout. Kevin Durant led the way with 32 points.

The Brooklyn Nets move to a two games to none lead over the Milwaukee Bucks after a 39 point demolition in Game 2. The Nets shot lights out, while their defense frustrated the Bucks. Kevin Durant led the way in Brooklyn’s 125-86 win.

Harden missed Game 2 with hamstring injury

James Harden was sidelined for Game 2 after leaving the series opener in the first minute. The former Houston Rocket has been plagued by a bad hamstring all season, and came into tonights game as a scratch after being diagnosed with right hamstring tightness.

The Nets climbed out to a big early lead thanks to a 15-5 1st quarter run. Durant and Kyrie Irving led the way with 23 of the 36 first quarter points scored by Brooklyn. Maybe more impressive than the offensive show to start the game was the lockdown defense for Steve Nash’s side.

Nets doing in with defense this postseason

After allowing just 19 Bucks points in the first quarter, Milwaukee went to the halftime break with just 41 points. Much has been talked about the unstoppable offense the Big Three have created, but the Nets defense has been one of the tops in the league over the course of the last month.

The lead stretched to as many as 27 in the first half, and Brooklyn continued to extend the advantage in the second half flirting with a fifty point lead in the fourth quarter.

KD leads the Nets scorers yet again

KD carried the Nets as he has done all postseason long scoring 32 points. Kyrie had just nine points through the first half as the role players were making big contributions in the opening 24 minutes. Irving ended with 22 points. Joey Harris had 13, and Bruce Brown, who filled in the starting five due to Harden being hurt, matched Harris with 13 of his own.

Milwaukee’s shooting struggles in the opening game carried into tonight’s contest.  Giannis Antetoukounmpo scored just six points in the first half. The Greek ended the game with 18 points. Khris Middleton started Game 2 cold, and despite scoring six straight baskets for the Bucks at the end of the second and beginning of the third quarter, it wasn’t enough for a Bucks team that has not found their offensive rhythm in this series.

Must win Game 3 for Milwaukee on Thursday

The series shifts to Wisconsin and the Bucks find themselves in a must win situation. We will wait and see what Brooklyn decided to do with Harden and his hamstring, but if today is any indication they are doing just fine without him.  Game 3 from Milwaukee is on Thursday 7:30 PM ET.

Here is the Bucks starting 5

Bruce Brown will take James Harden's spot in the starting five

Just over 20 minutes away from tip off here from the Barclays Center

Harden has already missed 20 games this season with a hamstring injury. The Nets will be hoping this injury won't keep their star on the bench so long.

The Greek Freak coming into the Barclays Center, hoping to leave with win a going back home

The Nets drip coming into Game 2

KD is in the building

Giannis Antetoukounmpo will need some help from the rest of the cast. The Greek freak had 34 last game, and Brook Lopez put down 20, but Jru Holiday and Khris Middleton will have to step up tonight to knock off the Nets and take home court advantage going back home

The Barclays Center will be packed tonight, as Brooklyn look to take a 2-0 lead to Milwaukee with a win tonight.

Steve Nash on Harden's injury "Heartbroken for him that he had to miss the night, This guy was so ready and excited to play tonight. You know the preparation he puts in. You know how much he cares about the game, how much he cares about his team, so you never want to see that when someone gives everything they have towards this."

Much like Chris Paul in the Lakers series, the headline of this Bucks-Nets will be Jame Harden's hamstring. Harden tweaked it in the opener and has been ruled out for tonight's game.

Hello everyone and welcome the the Barclays Center where we are just under an hour away from tip off.

Hello everyone and welcome to New York, where the Brooklyn Nets are trying to take a two games to none lead over the Milwaukee Bucks before the series shifts to Wisconsin. AS English will be providing live coverage, updates, scores and highlights of tonight’s contest at the Barclays Center which tips off at 7:30 ET.

Jame Harden out for Game 2 with hamstring tightness

The headline coming into tonights game, is the expected absence of James Harden. Harden tweaked his hamstring in the first minute of the opener and has been diagnosed with right hamstring tightness.

The Nets handled the Bucks, despite Harden being sidelined for 47 minutes. Milwaukee made them work to close out the opener. The injury blow had Brooklyn against the ropes early on and Steve Nash’s side once against found themselves without one of their Big Three.

Nets no strangers to playing without entire Big Three

It’s a situation that has become all too common for the the boys from Barclays Center. Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden have all had lengthy spells on the sidelines during the regular season, so they are used to having to battle top teams with a shortened squad.

Milwaukee played them close in the first quarter, but Brooklyn took the lead in the second and never relinquished it. A big third quarter put the game out of reach for the Bucks, who made a late charge in the last quarter but by that time it was too little too late.

KD led Brooklyn, but Griffin stole the show in Game 1

With Harden out, KD and Irving would have to step up, and they did. Durant led the winning side with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Kyrie had 25 points and dished out 8 assists. Mike James provided some key production off the bench with 12 points and Blake Griffin had his best game in a Nets jersey with 18 points and 14 boards.

Giannis Antetoukounmpo put in another fantastic shift scoring 34 and grabbing 11 boards. Brook Lopez followed with 19, but failed to grab a defensive rebound. The Bucks went just 6 for 20 from behind the arc in Game 1.

All four games this season have been tight

Harden has been ruled out for tonight’s Game 2, and Milwaukee will be wanting to take a win back to Wisconsin. The season series is tied at 2-2 after Brooklyn’s win on Saturday. The eight point win was the largest margin of victory of the series for either team this season. The first two games were spilt between the Bucks and the Nets, in a two point and a three point game. Just a week before the end of the regular season the Bucks beat the Hardenless Big Three 124-118.
