Bucks 113 vs 102 Hawks: scores, summary, stats, highlights | NBA Playoff

Khris Middleton led the Milwaukee Bucks to a Game 3 win over the Atlanta Hawks on the road. They lead the Eastern Confernce Finals two game to one.

The Milwaukee Bucks won Game 3 in Atlanta to take a 2-1 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. Khris Middleton tied a career playoff high with a spectacular fourth quarter to give the Bucks the 113-102 win over the Hawks at State Farm Arena.

Trae Young was on fire out of the gate after being contained in Game 2 in Wisconsin. He scored just 16 points in the previous game, but responded in Atlanta with 14 points in the opening quarter while the Hawks sprung out to a 15-2 lead in the opening minutes as Milwaukee started 1-6 from the field.

Bucks overcome a slow start to Game 3

Down by as many as 15 in the first quarter, and with Giannis Antetokounmpo with two early fouls in the first few minutes the Bucks had to battle back before the half-time break to draw level with the final basket of the second quarter.

John Collins picked up his fourth foul early in the third quarter, after going to the bench the Bucks quickly took their first lead and the tides started to turn in Game 3. To add insult to injury, Trae Young stepped on one of the referee’s foot on the sideline and twisted his ankle. He went to the locker room briefly, and when he came back to action it was evident the ankle was bothering him.

Giannis was getting to the basket whenever and however he wanted in the first three quarters. He started the game 1/5 from the field, but began to put his head down and get to the rack, which allowed the Bucks to take the lead briefly in the third.

Middleton's 4th quarter to remember

Khris Middleton took the reins and rallied Milwaukee to victory in the fourth quarter. Middleton outscored the entire Hawks team 20-17 in the fourth quarter to tie a career playoff high 38 points, along with 11 rebounds and four assists. Middleton had scored just 30 points through the first two games of the series, but exploded in Game 3.

Giannis followed up Middleton’s heroic performance with 33 points, and 11 rebounds, and Bobby Portis had 15 off the bench.

Young stuggles after spraining ankle

Young had a fantastic two and a half quarters, but the sprained ankle left him visibly affected, scoring just three points in the final quarter. Young finished with 35, but the offense stuttered as Young struggled to shake off the injury.

The Hawks will keep a watchful eye on Young’s ankle in the lead up to Game 4. The Bucks have a chance to take a commanding lead in the series, but will need another road win on Tuesday at 8:30 pm ET.
