The gold-medal winning icon, Simon Biles, is more than just a gymnast. She has overcome hardships, has a close family and a longer-term boyfriend, and is an inspiration to men and women around the world.

Who are Simone Biles’ parents?

Simone Biles and her sister were adopted in 2000 by her maternal grandfather, Ron Biles, and his wife, Nellie. At three-years-old, Simone and her sister Adria were placed in the foster care system due to their biological mother’s struggle with drug and alcohol addiction.

Rone Biles said in an interview with Dancing With the Stars that he didn’t want to see them there. Biles recollects a time where her grandparents said, “now you can call us mom and dad if you want to.” Biles speaks very highly of her parents and even said in an interview that they have been there to save her since day one.

Who is Simone Biles’ Boyfriend?

Simone Biles is in a long-term relationship with Jonathan Owens. Similar to Simone Biles, Owens is an elite athlete. He plays safety for Houston Texas, meaning the couple is based in Texas.

Bile trains at the 52,000-square-foot World Champions Centre in Spring, Texas and has trained there since 2014. Her parents built the training center specifically for her and also opened it to the public.

Evens said that prior to meeting Biles, he wasn’t familiar with her. In fact, he said he had never paid much attention to gymnastics.

Biles has won 25 medals at the World Championships, and she has the potential to win six gold medals at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Although Biles had an atypical start at the qualifiers, she successfully qualified for each event and is still in the running to make history.

On Instagram the all-star athlete said, "I know I brush it off and make it seem like pressure doesn't affect me but damn sometimes it's hard hahaha! The olympics is no joke!" she said on Instagram.”
