REAL MADRID

Real Madrid have yet to receive response from PSG for Kylian Mbappé

Reliable sources contacted by AS say that "PSG are giving a silent response" to the offer for Kylian Mbappé. PSG signing a repalcement could see the transfer over the line.

Al-Khelaïfi aún no ha dado respuesta al Real Madrid.

Real Madrid have yet to receive a response from PSG to their final offer for Kylian Mbappé. On Thursday, Madrid offered €170 million plus another €10 million in variables. This latest news was confirmed by a high-ranking source at the club consulted by AS on Friday morning. "They're giving silence for an answer, but it's possible that everything will be unblocked soon," they said. "One thing is that the operation could be rushed, and another is that it is going to be imminent," said the same source.

PSG strategy

Los Blancos believe that PSG have a strategy, which is to not to respond to the offer until they have a replacement for Mbappé. They believe that PSG are preparing another major coup, and that this will then help sell Mbappé to Madrid. President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has always dreamed of having Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo play together in his team, but the Portuguese is "very close to signing for Manchester City", according to a trusted source, who is in charge of CR7's affairs.

Cristiano Ronaldo to City

"Right now we are at a decisive moment, when we have to choose one of two paths," the same agent indicated. One path would take Cristiano to Manchester City and the other to PSG. If it is the second, Mbappé would be much, much closer to joining Madrid.

In this scenario, Real Madrid do not rule out the signing of Mbappé, for which it is essential that in Paris they have the approval of Doha (Emir of Qatar). As soon as the transfer is possible, which is not yet the case because the French-Qatari response is still pending, Mbappé would travel to Madrid to undergo a medical, but would not be presented until September 10 or 11 at the Santiago Bernabéu.
