It's an "honour" to play under Simeone - Griezmann
Antoine Griezmann is looking forward to his second debut with Atleti, which could be against Espanyol on Sunday.
After a disappointing two seasons at Barcelona, Antoine Griezmann has returned to Atlético Madrid where he will be reunited with coach Diego Simeone.
Griezmann is looking forward to his second debut for Atlético this weekend after he netted two stunning goals in France's 2-0 win over Finland on Tuesday, and the French man was full of praise for the Argentine coach ahead of Sunday's game against Espanyol.
"I owe him so much in my professional life, because it is here with him, with Atléti, where I lived my best moments on a professional level and in my private life, because he has been a huge support for me and my family," Griezmann said.
"I'm very happy. It is an honor to play for him."
During his first spell with Los Rojiblancos, Griezmann provided 133 goals and 50 assists in 257 games. With his two goals for France on Tuesday, he became the nation's joint-third highest goalscorer alongside Michel Platini with 41 goals.
