Ahead of Thursday Night Football, Matt Skura has been promoted from the New York Giants’ practice squad into the 53-man roster as they face Washington in the first of NFL’s Week 2 match-ups.

NFL news:

Skura into Giants offense

It’s an injury to the knee that is keeping left guard Shane Lemieux out of the action and that has provided Skura with an opportunity to shine. In the team’s opener last Sunday it was Ben Bredeson who stepped in, a player who was a teammate of Skura at the Ravens.

Across four seasons in Baltimore Skura started 51 games, switching between guard and center.

You can follow all the action and reaction as it happens in tonight’s Thursday Night Football right here on AS. Our Dane Arlauckas will be here about an hour before the game to get the build-up going.
