Pochettino impressed by Hakimi's character in 2-1 victory
Achraf Hakimi saved the away game for PSG last night against Metz with a 95th-minute goal, giving a 2-1 victory to keep the team's undefeated streak going.
PSG head coach Mauricio Pochettini has yet to see a losing game from his team this season. Achraf Hakimi won the game last night against Metz with a dramatic late goal to give them the 2-1 victory.
Hakimi saves the day for PSG
Within the first five minutes, Hakimi had scored the first goal of the night. Before half time, Metz tied the game with a goal by Boubakar Kouyate. PSG got lucky towards the end of the game when Metz's Dylan Bronn was given a red card, leaving their opponents with only 10 men on the field. Hakimi took advantage and netted his second goal of the night in the 95th minute to ensure another victory for PSG and keep the club undefeated in Ligue 1.
Pochettini said he is impressed by the character that Hakimi has shown, saying his goals are a result of his good intentions.
"Yesterday after training, I asked him 'how are you?', and he said 'very well, very well', and then he added, 'and you, coach? How are you?' - I was surprised by the question. 'Because no one ever asks you! You ask everyone, but no one ever asks you'. And look - today, he scored goals."
