Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández: "We have the team to win the MLS Cup"

Los Angeles Galaxy has not won their last eight regular season games and they hope to bounce back tomorrow against the Los Angeles FC in the second derby of the season. The team with the most titles in the league (5) are currently in the playoff picture in sixth place with 38 points and a record of 11W-5D-11L.

The Galaxy has seven games left of the regular season to secure a spot in the 2021 MLS Cup playoffs and they need to snap back tomorrow at the Dignity Health Sports Park. Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández has been on top form this campaign with 12 goals and one assist in 15 games played. The Mexico international believes that this team has what it takes to win the title, even though they have not won their last eight matches.

“I do believe we can win the championship. I rather people call me crazy like always, but I do think we have the team to win the MLS Cup. I am going to work hard to try to help my teammates achieve that. I have people around me that inspire me with their work ethic and the hunger of the young players,” said Chicharito.

Hernández gets inspiration from Kobe Bryant

“I love the word insane and Kobe Bryant used that word a lot, may he rest in peace. You have to believe and work for your dreams,” added Hernández.
