Bonucci received his marching orders in the first half and Spain continued to dominate in the second. Pellegrini gave Italy some hope late on but Spain held out to break Italy's 37-game unbeaten run.

Spain are into Sunday's Nations League final!

FT: Italy 1-2 Spain

95

And they're back on their feet...

Laporte wins the header but both fall to the ground.

Moise Kean and Laporte are both on the ground after a collision.

94

Italy have kept fighting with 10 players but Spain have totally outplayed them in Milan.

92

Bryan Gil is through but out comes Di Lorenzo with a tough but fair challenge to win the ball in the box.

90

There will be five minutes added on at San Siro!

88

Spain corner. They take it short and work it back to Busquets. The Barca player plays it wide to Azpilicueta and Spain get themselves another corner. This suits them perfectly.

84

Spain have been much the better side, but Italy have given themselves some hope with just over five minutes to go.

83

GOAL!

Italy score through Pellegrini. Italy take advantage of a Spain mistake in the middle of the park and are back in the game.

78

Excellent footwork by Yeremi down the right wing. He finds Marcos Alonso coming in from the left wing but his effort is well saved by Donnarumma.

76

The second half has been a walk in the park for Spain. Gavi and Yeremi have been really impressive on their debuts against the European champions.

74

Double change for Spain

OFF Koke & Sarabia

ON Merino & Bryan Gil

Tottenham's Bryan Gil is warming up for Spain.

71

Yeremi Pino receives a booking on his debut for kicking out at Locatelli.

68

Sarabia looks to pick out Oyarzabal, but the Real Sociedad man is offside.

67

Spain have an extra man but also have 68% possession.

66

It's a real uphill battle for Italy now with just over 25 minutes to go.

Mancini doesn't look happy on the touchline.

CHIESA!

He hits the post but it's offside...

Double change for Italy

The winner of tonight's match will play the winner of Belgium vs France in Sunday's final.

53

Spain are having a decent spell of possession right now. Yeremi crosses into the box from the right. Italy clear it.

Yeremi Pino makes his debut for Spain. He is just 18.

49

Spain change:

OFF Ferran Torres

ON Yeremi Pino

48

Gavi knocks Jorginho over with a shoulder. What a debut it has been for the kid.

46

Italy get us underway for the second half!

Chiellini is coming in for Italy.

Spain have been excellent in the first half and lead thanks to a Ferran Torres brace. Bonucci was sent off and the Euro 2020 champions have an uphill battle to comeback.

HT: Italy 0-2 Spain

It's Oyarzabal to Ferran once again and it's 2-0 to Spain.

46

Goooooooooooaaaaaaaaaalll!

FERRAN TORRES SCORES AGAIN!

45+

We will have one minute added on .

45

Azpilicueta fouls Emerson and picks up a yellow card.

Italy are down to 10 men and have changed to a 4-4-1 formation.

43

Bonucci's first yellow was for protesting. Chiellini is warming up for Italy.

42

Bonucci picks up his second yellow of the night for elbowing Busquets in a 50-50 challenge.

BONUCCI has been sent off for Italy!

Marcos Alonso's father!

37

It's end to end here!

This time, it's up the other end. Oyarzabal has a tough angle, but he gets his shot away. It's straight at Donnarumma.

35

Insigne misses a sitter!

The ball falls to the Napoli forward, who is all alone, with only Unai Simón to beat but he blasts wide when it looked easier to score!

34

Super save by Unai Simón!

Bernardeschi cuts in from the right and sends a low strike to Unai Simón's left. The Spain keeper gets down brilliantly to deny the Italian.

Jorginho

The last time Italy faced Spain, Jorginho was decisive. The Italian scored the winning penalty in their Euro 2020 semi-final shootout win over La Roja.

30

Bonucci picks up the first yellow of the match for protesting. The veteran defender was furious that the referee awarded Spain a free out.

28

Italy corner. Insigne sends it in low. Di Lorenzo dives into it but can't direct his header towards goal. It remains 1-0 to Spain.

26

Ferran Torres breaks through the middle. The City forward is stopped by Bastoni. He's looking for a free-kick, but the referee waves play on.

25

Now it's Spain's turn to get a free. Chiesa fouls Laporte.

24

Gavi runs into Verratti and it's a free-kick for Italy.

23

Italy have shifted things around. Insigne is now their false 9.

22

Spain are moving it around really well, with Busquets rolling the back the years in midfield.

21

Donnarumma plays the sweeper role, running off his line to head clear. It goes out for a throw-in.

Italy 0-1 Spain

Ferran Torres puts Spain in front at San Siro!

It's a wonderful cross by Oyarzabal from the left. The City forward finishes the cross first time from close range to give La Roja the lead.

17

Goooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaal!!!

FERRAN TORRES!!

14

Donnarumma is on the ball and he gets whistled by the San Siro crowd. They weren't happy when he left AC Milan for PSG after six years at the club.

13

Italy are defending in a 4-5-1 formation, with Bernardeschi the central figure up front.

12

Jorginho fouls Busquets. Free for Spain.

The winner of tonight's match will play the winner of Belgium vs France in Sunday's final.

10

Spain have seen the majority of the ball in the opening 10 minutes. Italy have, however, had the efforts on goal.

7

Gavi gets his first couple of touches for Spain. He makes history today, becoming the youngest ever debutant for La Roja at just 17 years and 62 days old.

6

Italy go forward once again, this time through Bastoni. The defender tests Unai Simón from the edge of the area. This one is easier for the Athletic Club netminder.

5

CHIESA shoots!

Chiesa finds himself 25 yards from goal and unleashes a low drive. He makes Unai Simón work, it's a fine strike but the big keeper gets down to his right to push it away.

Italy are currently on a 37-game unbeaten run - it really is an incredible feat. Spain will be hoping to bring that run to an end today.

3

Ferran Torres works a yard for himself down the right wing. His cross evades the two Spanish players in the box and goes out for a throw-in.

2

Insigne looks to pick out Chiesa in the box with a low cross, but it goes straight to Unai Simón.

Italy are playing from left to right as we watch it.

Spain get us underway!

This is bringing me right back to Euro 2020. Mancini looks immaculate, the Italian team are singing their hearts out...

It's time for the national anthems. We'll try to not get too many goosebumps for Italy's...

Sergio Busquets leads La Roja out.

Well, the last time these two met, Italy beat Spain on penalties to progress to the Euro 2020 final and we all know what happened then.

The players are in the tunnel at San Siro!

Kick-off is less than 10 minutes away!

Luis Enrique's Spain squads continue to spark fury

OPINION

Luis Enrique's Spain squads continue to spark fury

"Every Spain squad Luis Enrique names sparks outpourings of anger - particularly, but not only, among Madridistas. Criticising the national coach’s team selection is as old as the Spain side itself (a century and one year), but it has never reached these levels."

Donnarumma hopes for positive reaction from Milan fans in Nations League

Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is hoping AC Milan fans do not give him a hostile reception when he returns to the San Siro for the Azzurri's Nations League final four tournament semi-final against Spain on Wednesday.

"I'm excited, Milan and AC Milan are an important part of my life," Donnarumma told a news conference on Monday. "I'm excited, I hope there is nothing (negative from fans). I will always be a Milan fan.

"I have always given Milan everything, right up to the end. If something like this happens, I would also be sorry because it is a very important match, a Nations League semi-final, so I hope the fans can help us.

Chiellini "ashamed" of racist abuse aimed at Napoli trio by Fiorentina fans

Giorgio Chiellini says he felt "ashamed" by the racist abuse Napoli players were subjected to by Fiorentina fans during Sunday's Serie A game at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Kalidou Koulibaly, Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Victor Osimhen were targeted during leaders Napoli's 2-1 victory in Florence.

Koulibaly called for those guilty of the abuse to be banned for life and Italy captain Chiellini demanded that strong action must be taken.

The Italy centre-back said: "It is unacceptable. We need laws and rules that are applied, this is the most important thing.

"I was ashamed, as an Italian and a Tuscan, also because Italy is not a racist country for me.

"Something more must be done, otherwise from outside we give a bad image of ourselves."
