Buffalo Bills 31 vs Tennessee Titans 34 summary: score, stats, and highlights | NFL Week 6

Update:
The Buffalo Bills travel to Tennessee to take on the Titans trying to keep pace with the Los Angeles Chargers at 5-1 for best record in the AFC.

It was an instant classic in Nissan Stadium as the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans went back and forth until the final play. Derrick Henry scored three touchdowns, but it was defense who came up with the big stop late in the fourth quarter.

Clash of the TItans in Nashville

It was a matchup that could have been thought of as a preview of the AFC Championship in the preseason. The Bills had been great coming into Week 6, while the Titans were suffering through a season of ups and downs.

The Bills dominated the first quarter, but didn’t have much to show for it after two trips to the red zone. Derrick Henry broke the game wide open after a slow start on the offensive end.

Henry's 76 yard TD run started the party

With the Titans’ first play of the second quarter, Henry busted a 76 yard touchdown run that was the first of seven lead changes, which tied a Monday Night Football record.

The Titans touchdown just what the game need to open the scoring flood gates. The home side’s defense bent, but didn’t break as Bills continued to march down the field with ease, but a Tennessee interception set up a two play touchdown drive as the Titans took the lead 17-13.

Titans end game with six straight scoring drives

The Henry touchdown started a chain of six straight scoring possessions by both teams combined until the Bills punted in the middle of the fourth quarter. The Titans scored in each of their final five possessions they had after the MVP candidate scored Tennessee’s first touchdown of the night.

The Bills went into the half time break up 20-17 after there were just three points scored in the opening quarter.

Throughout the game it seemed like it was going to be a night in which the team that had the ball last was going to score on the final drive and come out with the late winner.

Henry's 3rd TD was seventh lead change in game

Buffalo set themselves up perfectly to win it in the closing seconds. The Titans took the 34-31 lead with an eight play drive capped off Henry’s third touchdown run of the game.

Tennessee left the Bills 3:05 to make a game winning drive late in the fourth, and it didn’t look as though the Titans could hold the top scoring offense in the league.

They wouldn’t have had to worry about making a game winning drive if Isaiah McKenzie’s kick off return for a touchdown wasn’t called back by a holding call. But the Bills responded as Josh Allen led his team down to the Tennessee three yard line.

Defense wins it in game that had 64 total points

After nearly getting a third down conversion with a leaping Josh Allen effort that came up just inches short of the first down marker the Bills decided to go for the fourth down and the win. On fourth and inches Allen went for the QB sneak, but lost his footing and was stopped short of the first down allowing the Titans to take a knee and catch up to the Bills at 4-2 on the season.

King Henry finished with 143 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries, carrying his offense on a night where Ryan Tannehill struggled for the first three quarters. The Titans QB ended the night with 216 yards and an interception.

Much of the talk all week was the Bills being the team in the AFC, but the Titans win on Monday night might just send shockwaves around the league that could have a seismic impact on the rest of the season.

That's a lot of points for a homedog in a primetime game

Like Michaelangelo and the Sistine Chapel

What does Julio have in store tonight

The visitors will be wearing their classic whites tonight

The Bills showing off the primetime drip

The Titans crushed the Bills 42-16 last year to hand Buffalo their first loss of the season. Ryan Tannehill went 21-28 for 195 yards and 3 TDs while Derrick Henry had 57 yards for 2 TDs

The Titans are just a game back of the Buffalo Bills in the AFC, but it seems they have had a much more bumpy of ride over the last 6 weeks

They got smashed by the Cardinals, and the lowley Jets and got lucky to escape Seattle with an overtime win.

The Bills' only loss of the year came on opening weekend, when they lost by a touchdown to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Much was expected from both these teams coming into the season. The Bills have been exceeding expectations, but the Titans still have plenty of convincing to do.

Hello everyone and welcome to Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee for tonight's AFC showdown between the Bill and the Titans

We are a third of the way into the NFL regular season and the Buffalo Bills are making a their case as the top team in the AFC. They head south to finish off Week 6 against the Tennessee Titans, a team that had high of preseason expectations, but have not been as impressive as expected to this point in the season.

AS English will be keeping you up to date with live coverage, stats, and scores of all the action from Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

Josh Allen is coming off of a season where he made a meteoric jump from run of the mill quarterback to MVP quarterback. This year he is looking even more dangerous, and especially when you consider the amped up armory of weapons he has to throw to.

In the Bills first five games Allen has 12 touchdowns, two interceptions, and 1,370 yards with a passer rating of over 100.

The Bills lone loss came on the opening weekend of the season, where they allowed the Pittsburgh Steelers to make a fourth quarter comeback and steal the game in Buffalo 23-16. Since then Allen and the Bills have been playing flawless football.

They look like one of the most, if not the most complete team in the NFL. They have the top scoring offense in the league dropping 34.2 points a game, and they have a defense that is giving up less than 13 points a game.

The Titans season has been as shockingly unpredictable as an episode of Squid Games. They started the season by getting stomped by the Arizona Cardinals, which seemed scandalous until we came to see that the Cardinals crush everyone in their path.

They had what I truly believe was a season saving comeback win in Seattle after entering the fourth quarter down by 14 points. A win over the Colts restored order as things looked to be gettin back to normal in the Nashville.

Just when the everything seemed like it was getting back to status quo in the AFC South, the Titans dropped an inexplicable game in the Meadowlands to the previously winless New York Jets.

Preseason, this matchup could have been considered a potential preview to the AFC Championship. After five weeks the Bills are holding up their end of the deal, but the Titans still have some convening to do. They could start with a win over a top team in the conference tonight.

Kickoff from Nissan Stadium is set for 8:15 p.m. ET.
