Hernán ‘Bolillo’ Gómez to be appointed as Honduras' new manager
The experienced manager is expected to arrive in Honduras on Wednesday and hold his first press conference ahead of the World Cup qualifiers.
Honduras is the only team in the World Cup qualifiers in CONCACAF that has yet to win a game and they are in last place with 3 points. ‘Los Catrachos’ have played six games in the round-robin tournament and they have a record of W0-D3-L3.
New manager appointed
The Federation decided to part ways with Fabián Coito after the 2-0 defeat against Jamaica on 13 October. So the bosses decided to appoint Hernán ‘Bolillo’ Gómez as the new manager and he is expected to arrive in Honduras on Wednesday and hold his first press conference.
The experienced manager has a tough task ahead of him with eight games left in the World Cup qualifiers in CONCACAF. Gómez has little time to work because Honduras will return to action during next month's international window.
They have two important games in their aspiration to qualify to the next World Cup. The Honduras national team will host Panama on 12 November and then go on the road three days later to play against Costa Rica.
