How much money has Canelo Álvarez earned in his career?

Everything is set for the historic showdown between Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez and Caleb Plant that will take place on 6 November in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The fight is set at 168 pounds and the winner will become the first undisputed World Champion of the four belt-era.

Canelo will earn a big payday

The Mexican boxer is considered the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world and he has earned a lot of money throughout his career. According to multiple reports, Canelo has won more than $225 million throughout his 59 fights as a professional boxer and some business deals that have come from them.

So far this year Canelo has earned an estimated $34 million with the two victories against Avni Yildrim and Billy Joe Saunders. But in the case he defeats Caleb Plant on Saturday then he will end the year with a total of $50 million for the three fights, which means he will increase his earnings from all his fights to $275 million.

The Mexican superstar has built an empire and a name for himself. He has also invested in several businesses like ‘Canelo’ Energy, Upper, Upper Energy and CA, which has increased his earnings outside of the sport. It is reported that in 2023, when his contract with DAZN ends, he will be worth $500 million.
