PREMIER LEAGUE
How many goals has Mohamed Salah scored against Arsenal?
There are few teams in the Premier League, or around the world for that matter, that envy going up against the Egyptian King. So how have the Gunners fared?
When Liverpool signed Mohamed Salah from Serie A side Roma, no one could have imagined the success that would follow. The man known affectionately as The Egyptian King exploded onto the Premier League scene in his debut campaign and has hardly had a dip since. Record after record has been added to the history books and the fans sing a song dedicated to him - you know, that one set to James' a 1980s ditty, Sit Down - more than any other.
Ahead of this weekend's clash domestic clash against Arsenal, I thought I'd reflect on the success in front of goal he has had in the fixture. First though, a brief reflection of his time at The Reds.

Salah across the seasons
In the 2017-18 season Salah inspired Liverpool to the cusp of history. After outshining Real Madrid in the early part of the Champions League final, Loris Karius then played his part in the collapse. It was devastating at the time, but there had been enough glimpses of greatness to suggest success wasn't far away.
Star forwards have come to Anfield before. Luis Suárez scored an outstanding 31 goals in a Premier League season, matching the 38-game benchmark that belonged jointly to Alan Shearer (1995-96) and Cristiano Ronaldo (2007-08). Salah, though, was able to find the back of the net 32 times
Salah's new record saw him notch up an astonishing 43 goals in all competitions, and unsurprisingly for many, collecting the PFA Player of the Year award.
Salah firing again this season
While Salah has not come close to that 43-goal total again – at least until now – he has maintained a high level throughout his Liverpool career. Only in 2019-20 did the forward fail to net 20 times in the Premier League, and Klopp's men won the title that year.
But Salah's current form is hinting at the sort of season that would blow away his own previous performance. Going into this weekend against Arsenal, Salah has 10 league goals with just 11 games played.
Aside from his domestic form, Salah has also played a pivotal role in Liverpool's four wins from four in the Champions League group stage, ensuring top spot qualification already in what was deemed the Group of Death.
Salah scoring against Arsenal
When it comes to facing up against the Gunners, Salah has a very good scoring record. In the eight Premier League games that he's played in for Liverpool versus the north London outfit he has netted six times.
Only five other teams have proved themselves to be a more fruitful opponent for the attacker - with Watford having been punished nine times in just seven games. On Saturday at Anfield we will see if Salah can once again inspire The Reds to victory.
