Who plays Thursday Night Football tonight, Week 13? Games, times, TV
NFL’s Thursday Night Football travels to New Orleans as the Saints welcome the Dallas Cowboys. Both teams need the win badly in this NFC matchup
The (7-4) Dallas Cowboys are traveling to face the (5-6) New Orleans Saints for Week 13’s Thursday Night Football. Both of these teams lost Thanksgiving Day, the Cowboys falling 36-33 in overtime to the Las Vegas Raiders and the Saints were humiliated by the visiting Buffalo Bills 31-6.
Dallas is struggling of late, dropping three of their last four games. One of the league’s most potent offenses was missing two of their top receivers on Thanksgiving, but CeeDee Lamb seems likely to return for their road trip to New Orleans.
Amari Cooper is still questionable and Dallas is currently dealing with a covid outbreak, meaning that they will be without coach Mike McCarthy and other key members of the coaching staff.
And they need all the help that they can get. The Superdome is a notoriously hostile place for visitors but Dallas may have some help in the recent difficulties on the Saints bench. They have lost four consecutive games and picked up all kinds of injuries in the process. They are expected to make a quarterback change bringing in wunderkind Taysom Hill and getting some key pieces back including running back Alvin Kamara who could just make all the difference in this matchup.
Trevor Siemian has had the backup spot following Jameis Winston's season-ending injury and Siemian has struggled mightily. Taysom Hill has ridden a utility role to superstardom down in the Big Easy, but was brought to the organization as a quarterback. He hasn't played much in recent weeks because of a foot injury, but even with that hampering him, his mobility will make him a serious threat in the backfield.
Both teams need this one in the win column, the Cowboys to stay in the race for the No. 1 seed and the Saints to stay within sight of the Wild Card spot.
