León take a 3-2 lead into the second leg of the 2021 Liga MX Apertura final against Atlas, after coming from behind to win Thursday’s opener. Ángel Mena’s late double gave Ariel Holan’s men victory at the Estadio León, after Luis Reyes and Julio Furch had scored either side of a Víctor Dávila goal to put Atlas 2-1 up.
Return-leg hosts Atlas are chasing what would be only the second Mexican league title in their history - and their first since 1951. Meanwhile, León have been domestic champions eight times, most recently winning the 2020 Torneo Guardianes.
