The United States men’s international team player continues to deal with a problem in his adductor and he will miss Tuesday’s LaLiga match.
Sergiño Dest will miss his third consecutive match due to a problem to his adductor. Barcelona coach Xavi Hernández confirmed that the United States international has not fully recovered and he will miss Tuesday’s LaLiga clash against Sevilla at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
Dest could leave Barça next month
The 21-year-old has not played since he was replaced starting the second half in the 3-0 defeat against Bayern Munich in the last game of the group stage of the Champions League. Dest was criticized for this performance in the first 45 minutes and the following match Xavi decided to leave him on the bench in the 2-2 draw against Osasuna in LaLiga.
After that match the United States international missed the next two because of an injury. Several reports indicate that Xavi is not fully content with the USMNT player and the club will listen to offers for him during the winter transfer window.
Several clubs like Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Manchester City have shown interest in signing Sergiño Dest for the second half of the 2021/22 season. According to Transfermarkt, the value of the United States international is of $33 million and Barcelona won’t accept anything less than that.
