A tale of two teams: Colts vs Cardinals
In what is probably the more enticing of the two NFL Christmas Day games, this match up sees two teams who - in this moment - are polar opposites of each other. On one side are the Colts. Having just claimed a massive victory against their AFC rivals, the New England Patriots, Indianapolis are proving to be a live wire in the league as we approach the post season. On the other side we find the Cardinals. Arizona was put to shame by the Detroit Lions to be plain. Be that as it may, the real concern for the Cardinals will be the amount of yards they allowed to be run against them - 112 to be exact - in their loss to the Lions. Even more so when considering the fact that the Lions' running back running back Craig Reynolds - though promising - is not the same kind of prospect as the Colts' Jonathan Taylor.
Yet it must be said, this is a Cardinals team with it's back against the wall. Having lost four in their last seven, Arizona is truly under pressure to get a result. They are of course without their go to wide receiver, Deandre Hopkins who unfortunately is out with a knee injury until late January, but expect the Cardinals to go for it. They do, however, face a Colts team that by contrast has won five of the last six and seem to be hitting their stride. While many may consider the Cardinals favorites to win, the Colts appear to like the role of 'party crashers' lately.
