Lenglet and Dani Alves test positive for covid-19
The Catalan club confirmed that both players tested positive as the Barcelona squad returned to training following the Christmas break.


The FC Barcelona first team squad will return to first team training on Tuesday morning at their Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamper following the Christmas break.
Ahead of the return, the squad underwent protocol covid-19 testing with LaLiga ramping up the health procedures given the spread of the new Omicron variant.

Two first team players posted positive tests with defenders Clement Lenglet and Dani Alves now having to spend a ten day period in isolation with the Frenchman ruled out of the away trip to Mallorca on 2 January (2022). The Brazilian would have been unable to play due to registration issues but should be ready to play for Barça in the Copa del Rey game away to Linares Deportivo the following week.
