The first Premier League games of 2022 take place on New Year's Day. At the time of writing, three fixtures are secheduled to go ahead. Leicester City were due to play Norwich City, however, it has since been postponed due to covid-19 cases in both camps. The two clubs confirmed the fixture had been postponed on Thursday.

The first fixture of day sees Arsenal host Manchester City at the Emirates stadium. Both teams are in fine form and this one is expected to serve up goals. In the second game of the day, Tottenham make the short trip to Watford, to take on Claudio Ranieri's boys in a head to head battle between two Italian managers. Antonio Conte will be sitting in the opposite dugout as he looks to get back to winning ways after Spurs' 1-1 draw at Southampton on December 28.

The third and final Premier League game of the day is between Crystal Palace and West Ham United. Patrick Vieira's Palace side will be feeling confident going into this clash with the Hammers, after convincingly beating Norwich at home in their last outing. West Ham have recently slipped out of the Champions League places and a win at Selhurst Park will keep David Moyes' men within touching distance of Arsenal in fourth place.
