Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Rob Gronkowski, who is nicknamed "Gronk", entered the regular-season finale against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday with several opportunities of securing incentives, worth $500,000 each.

In the fourth quarter of the matchup against Carolina, Brady made it clear to the coaches that he was not coming out of the game, despite the Buc's 14-point comfortable lead. Instead, with six minutes left on the clock, Brady went back in and connected with Gronkowski for a 7-yard completion; the Golden pass that helped Gronkowski hit his second $500,000 contract incentive.

Gronk, who entered Sunday's game with 48 receptions and 665 receiving yards, needed 85 yards and seven receptions against the Panthers in order to earn the $500,000 for each milestone. So that pass was the exact push the 32-year-old tight end needed to collect $1 million total for his season stats.

Brady exited the game after the pass, leaving backup Blaine Gabbert to finish out a 41-17 win for Tampa Bay, securing the NFC's No. 2 seed.

As Gronkowski celebrates his achievements, the Buccaneers go into Super Wildcard Weekend to face the Philadelphia Eagles.
