Who will Barcelona sign before the end of the January transfer window?

The pressure is mounting at Camp Nou as Barcelona look to make some last-minute deals happen at the end of the January transfer window.

With only four days to go before the end of the January transfer window, FC Barcelona are working to get some last-minute deals across the line.

Adama Traoré could be on his way back to Barcelona, according to journalist Gerard Romero. The Spain international left Barça to join Aston Villa in 2015 for €10 million and seven years later, he could be on his way back.

Likely return to LaLiga for Adama Traoré

The player's agent, Jorge Mendes, is moving behind the scenes to close a loan deal until the end of the season, with a possible option to buy also included in the deal for the 26-year-old. Barcelona will pay the player's full salary until the end of the season. Tottenham have been in advanced talks with Wolves about signing the winger but that deal failed to materialise and Traoré kept his options open when the chance of a move back to Barcelona appeared.

Romero has also reported that Barcelona are close to signing Thomas Meunier on loan from Borussia Dortmund. The Belgian could be part of a swap deal that would involve right-back Sergiño Dest moving in the opposite direction. Meunier and Borussia Dortmund are both reportedly open to the move happening before the end of the window.

Will Dembélé stay?

Talks have resumed this week over the future of Barcelona player Ousmane Dembélé. Dembélé’s agent, Moussa Sissoko, met with Barcelona manager Xavi Hernández earlier this week in a bid to resolve the situation with the player. Barça are trying to find a solution for the France international before 31 January.

Barcelona's position has not changed. If the winger does not renew this week, before deadline day, they will look for a way for him to leave Barça before 31 January. Xavi has also reportedly said that if Dembélé fails to rewew, he won't wear the Barcelona shirt again. The aim for the Blaugrana is to reduce the current wage bill at Camp Nou in order to sign new players, but with just four days to go of the transfer window, the pressure is on at the Camp Nou offices.
