Simeone's reaction on hearing what Cristiano thinks of him

Describe Diego Simeone in one word... that was the task of a number of players and coaches who know the Atlético Madrid coach better than most - those who have worked under him, those who have played against him. All for a new documentary about the Argentinean, 'Living one game at a time', produced by Amazon Prime Video.

A man who lives, eats and breathes football, El Cholo is well known for being very demanding with himself and his players - he expects them to give 100% in every game, every training session, be flexible if they are asked to switch to a different position and never, ever give up. That is how he has turned Atleti into winners, and managed to break the duopoly enjoyed by Real Madrid and Barcelona in LaLiga - always, looking no further ahead than the next game - the most important one.

Simeone was surprised by what his contemporaries had to say about him and couldn't help raising a smile at some of the comments.

Cristiano: "It's difficult to describe someone like him in just one word. The only way I can describe him is someone who really loves football, and I like that".

Griezmann: "Commitment... and a real pain! (laughs)".

Luis Suárez: "Unbearable! (laughs) but in a positive way, because he's very intense".

Guardiola: "He looks like he could be hard work, a right pain! Like a hammer which just keeps banging away at you!"
