Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Cleveland Browns receiver Jarvis Landry go back. They played together in college at LSU and put up a combined 2,345 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns in their junior year playing together. They were both drafted in the 2014 NFL draft, OBJ in the first round to the Giants and Landry to the Dolphins in the second round. In 2019, the two were reunited when they both played for the Cleveland Browns. OBJ signed with the Los Angeles Rams in November of 2021 after the Browns released him, and now he is on his way to Super Bowl LVI with the team.

Landry surprises OBJ

On Monday, OBJ was in the middle of a virtual press conference ahead of the Super Bowl this Sunday. It was then that his old teammate and friend popped in to surprise him and instead of an interview question, gave him words of encouragement.

“You're deserving of this moment,” Landry said. “You put countless hours to where you are today and I've witnessed it all firsthand. You have scars to show for where you are today. This is a dream that you are actually turning into a reality and I wanted to come on here and just let you know that I'm proud of you, bro, that so many people are supporting you every step of the way."

You can see the look of pure joy in OBJ's face as he hears his former teammate's voice and his smile just grows bigger as he listens to his words. "I love you, you're givin' me chills!" he tells Landry. He also tells him that he is the only man besides his father who has had such a great and positive impact in his life.

"And vice versa, brother," said Landry. "Go get that ring, dude!"
