Estados UnidosUpdate:
Borussia Dortmund's Gio Reyna could return from injury on Sunday

Good news for Borussia Dortmund, because Gio Reyna and Erling Haaland have reached full fitness and were seen back in practice on Friday afternoon. The United States international suffered a hamstring injury on 20 February and left the match against Borussia Mönchengladbach in tears in his first club start since August last year.

Reyna played just 28 minutes in Dortmund’s 6-0 win in the Bundesliga and it was expected that he was going to be out for at least two weeks. Fortunately, he has had a speedy recovery and practiced with the rest of the team on Friday ahead of their next league matchup.

Reyna could see some minutes on Sunday

Dortmund will host Arminia Bielefeld on 6 March and Reyna could be included in the final roster. If the 19-year-old starts seeing minutes in the upcoming games, he will receive a call up to the United States men’s national team for the March international break.

The USMNT will play the last three games of their World Cup qualifying campaign and they want to secure their ticket to Qatar as soon as possible. Currently they are in second place and are four points from returning to the World Cup. They will play against Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama later this month.
