Are there any NBA games today, Sunday 6 March?
Week 20 comes to a close with a few tasty matchups out West and an inter-conference showdown between the Suns and the Bucks that promises sparks
Opposites attract in today’s matchups as we see two games that pit a top-tier side against a struggling team from near the bottom. The Memphis Grizzlies are currently sitting in second place in the West, eight games adrift. They will travel to Houston to face the struggling Rockets, currently on a nine game losing streak and sitting dead last in the West. The Grizzlies will be looking to close the gap with the Suns and with Phoenix playing the Bucks, who are coming off two impressive wins, things could be difficult for the conference leaders.
Western leaders Phoenix have a handy lead over all rivals and they travel to Milwaukee to face a reinvigorated Bucks team. Winning three of their last four games, Milwaukee pulled off a last-second win over red-hot favorites Miami and then ground out a convincing defensive victory over a strong Chicago Bulls side. Both of these teams are a sharp as any in the league and this game should really fly.
Lower down the table, the fourth place Utah Jazz will be looking to replicate the Grizzlies strategy when they travel to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder. Sitting only one spot above Houston, the Thunder have had a run of bad luck, winning only three in their last twelve outings. Utah’s road to victory is certainly not guaranteed, but the Jazz need to pull it off if they want to maintain the one game lead that they have over the Mavericks after Dallas’ win last night.
