The Los Angeles' Dolby Theater will host the 94th Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday 27 March and there will be some stiff competition to take home the Oscar statuettes.

Netflix's dark Western "The Power of the Dog" led the pack of this year's contenders with an impressive 12 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Director. Also competing for the top prize and hot on its heels is "Dune" up for 10 Oscars in total.

Other Best Pictures contenders with multiple nominations are "Belfast" and "West Side Story" tied with seven nominations each and "King Richard" with six.

Rounding out to list for the top prize are Japanese drama "Drive My Car;" thriller "Nightmare Alley;" cultural satire "Don't Look Up;" and coming-of-age stories “CODA” and "Licorice Pizza."
