Too smooth! Silk Sonic pick up four Grammy wins

R&B duo Silk Sonic won Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song at the 64th Grammy Awards. The charismatic duo bagged the awards in all four of the categories that they were nominated for, leaving Anderson Paak to celebrate the duo' "clean sweep".

After an electrifying live performance, Jon Batiste has just been awarded the Grammy for Best Album. 'We Are' is the eighth studio album by the musician and has garnered eight nominations this awards season. Reflecting on his creative process in the production of the album, Batiste said: "It's more than entertainment to me, it's a spiritual process."

Doja Cat and SZA pick up award for Best Duo and Group Performance

Beating out tough competition from BTS; Tony Bennett's & Lady Gaga; and Justin Bieber and Benny Blanco, the award for Best Duo and Group Perfromance went to Doja Cat's "Kiss Me More," feat. SZA. But there was nearly a logistical nightmare as a poorly-timed toilet break nearly prevented Doja Cat from being on stage for the award. 

She arrived on stage breathless, saying: “I’ve never taken such a fast piss in my life!”

Jon Batiste x BTS link up

Tonight's Grammy Awards ceremony has been jam-packed with incredible performances and two of the most memorable so far were BTS and Jon Batiste. The latter was the most-nominated artist at this year's Grammys with an astonishing 11 nods on the shortlist. He picked up four awards in the pre-ceremony announcements, and will be hopeful of winning more.

Why did Billie Eilish wear a Taylor Hawkins tribute t-shirt at the Grammys?

During her performance of 'Happier Than Ever' at the Grammys this evening, Billie Eilish donned a t-shirt paying tribute to Taylor Hawkins, the former Foo Fighters drummer was found dead in his hotel room earlier this week

Eilish wore a black oversized t-shirt with Hawkins’ image emblazoned across the front as she performed alongside performed live alongside brother Finneas. But why did Eilish choose to mark Hawkins in this way and is there a previous relationship between the two musicians?

Olivia Rodrigo picks up second Grammy Award of the evening

Having already secured the award for Best New Artist, Olivia Rodrigo has just received her second gong of the evening for Best Vocal Album. The singer-songwriter's 'Sour' is her debut album, which spents months in the Billboard Top Ten in the United States. In her acceptance speech, ROdrigo thanked her parents for having faith in her through the early days of her career.

Grammys wait is over for Jazmine Sullivan

After being nominated 14 times without winning, it was 15th time lucky for R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan at the 64th Grammy Awards. She picked up the coveted Best R&B Album award for her seminal 'Heaux Tales'. Earlier tonight she finished level with Silk Sonic in the Best R&B Performance category for ‘Pick Up Your Feelings.’

Zelenskyy addresses the Grammys

Ukrianian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy has addressed those gathered for the Grammy Awards, asking them to raise awareness for the ongoing horrors in Ukraine. BIllie Eilish makes touching Taylor Hawkins tribute

In a live performance of "Happier Than Ever" alongside brother Finneas, Billie Eilish wore a t-shirt with a picture of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, who died recently The young singer had been championed by Hawkins and Foo Fighters bandmate Dave Grohl in the early parts of her career and apparently wanted to mark his sad passing earlier this week.  

“Billie Eilish is honouring Foo Fighters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins tonight on the Grammys,” music journalist and radio host Eric Alper wrote on Twitter.

Who is Trevor Noah the host of the 2022 Grammys?
