Adele says she’s ‘jealous’ of fans attending Taylor Swift concert

The singer told her fans that she’s a big fan of the pop star at her Las Vegas concert last night.

Last night, both Taylor Swift and Adele, two of the biggest solo female pop stars right now, performed from separate stages in Las Vegas.

Adele was at her Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, while Swift was continuing her second weekend into her mostly sold-out Eras Tour.

In the midst of Adele’s performance on Friday evening, the singer told the audience how jealous she was of those going to see Swift the following night.

“If anyone is going to see Taylor tomorrow, I’m f-cking jealous. You know I love her,” she tells the audience.

Swift performed two shows this weekend at the Allegiant Stadium, which seats 65,000 people. She sold out both nights, becoming the first female act in history to sell out not only one night but two shows on a single tour.

Adele has praised Swift before. During a fan event in October called ‘Happy Hour with Adele,’ a fan asked Adele if she had listened to Swift’s latest album ‘Midnights,’ which had come out the week before.

“I haven’t,” Adele replied. “But the only reason is, is ‘cause I’ve been in rehearsals for, like, 12 hours a fuckin’ day. But I think Taylor’s one of the greatest songwriters of our generation, so I will definitely give it a listen.”

‘Weekends with Adele’

Adele, unfortunately, had to miss her shows, and for a good reason. The ‘Easy on Me’ singer is currently completing her ‘Weekends with Adele’ residency which began in November.

The residency was initially planned to take place from January to April 2022 but was postponed due to COVID-19-related delays. The singer reportedly earns over $600,000 per show.

High demand

Adele’s residency has been incredibly successful, with her first string of sold-out shows running from November 18 to March 25. Due to the success, the singer recently announced an additional 34 dates to the residency.

The first sprint of the residency ended this weekend with her Saturday night show and will pick back up again on June 16, 2023. The additional 34 weekends will run until November 4, 2023.

The presale for the new dates will begin on April 5 and Ticketmaster Verified Fans can register for the sale starting until April 2.
