Bad Bunny will be releasing his first solo single since 2022.

In a TikTok video, the Puerto Rican rapper teased a snippet of the upcoming song in a recording studio, donning an all-black leather outfit, and telling viewers to “check this out” in Spanish.

The new track’s name ‘Where She Goes’ was revealed on Wednesday on Bad Bunny’s Instagram stories, and features the rapper’s vocals before launching into an EDM-inspired beat, straying from his typical reggaeton sound.

“Baby, tell me the truth if you forgot about me/ I know it was only one night, that we’re not going to repeat/ In you I wanted to find what I lost in someone else/ Your pride doesn’t want to speak to me, so we’re going to compete,” he says, translated from the Spanish in the song’s dramatic opening verse.

“I don’t like to lose, tell me what you’re doing to do,” he says during the song’s beat drop.

In the caption, he told fans, “dime si te gusta y te la envio por whatsapp :),” or “tell me if you like it and I’ll send it on whatsapp” in English.

‘Where She Goes’ is set to be released on streaming platforms on Thursday, May 18 at 5:00 P.M. PT.

Bad Bunny’s first solo single since 2022

The new single will be Bad Bunny’s first solo single released since ‘El Apagón’ in September 2022.

In that time, Bad Bunny has released singles with Arcángel for ‘La Jumpa’, Ñengo Flow’s ‘Gato de Noche’, Bomba Estéreo’s ‘Ojitos Lindos’ and most recently, with Grupo Frontera for ‘Un x100to’.

‘Where She Goes’ comes after Bad Bunny previously stated that he would be taking time off from releasing a new album in 2023.

“I’m taking a break. 2023 is for me, for my physical health, my emotional health to breathe, enjoy my achievements,” he told Billboard.

“We’re going to celebrate. Let’s go here, let’s go there, let’s go on the boat. I have a couple of sporadic commitments, and I’ll go to the studio, but there’s no pressure. Remember yourself, cabrón. You’ve worked your a– off.
