Ben and two Jens: J.Lo and Garner together for first time at family event

Ben Affleck and his wife Jennifer Lopez are joined by ex-wife Jennifer Garner and children for a family musical event.

Update:
¡Ben Affleck enciende alarmas! Familiares y amigos del actor están preocupados: Aseguran que Jennifer Lopez lo convirtió en “su marioneta personal”.

A musical performance by Ben Affleck’s daughter, Seraphina, 14, brought the whole family together for the first time since his marriage to Lopez last year. The actor’s wife Jennifer Lopez and former wife Jennifer Garner were both spotted arriving with their children Sunday evening at a theater hall in Santa Monica, California.

Affleck and Lopez arrived with Lopez’s 14 year-old-twins, Emme and Max Muñiz, and their grandmother, Christopher Anne Boldt, while Garner brought her 17-year-old daughter, Violet, and son, Samuel Garner Affleck, 10 years old.

The ‘Shotgun Wedding’ star wore a tweed cropped jacket, a turtleneck, and stilettos along with octagonal sunglasses and walked with her arms slung across the shoulders of Emme.

Garner wore trainers and a casual puffy jacket and had her hair tied back — sporting the typical “mom” look and appearing at ease and happy to be with her kids.

J.Lo opens up about blended family

Establishing harmonious relationships in a blended family is never easy, but the two Jennifers seem to be making the best of it.

The ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’ singer opened up about her experiences raising kids alongside Affleck and his former wife in an interview with Extra at last week’s premiere of ‘Shotgun Wedding’, her new romantic comedy.

“It’s going really, really well, it’s amazing, we have five beautiful, beautiful children, blessings…,” the star said.

“We dropped one of them off at school today and we were just kind of thinking about what our lives have become and just feeling so blessed and grateful for where we wound up in our lives,”

This wasn’t the only time J.Lo has spoken publicly about her family. In another interview, Lopez shared that when she and Affleck “moved in together, the kids moved in together,”

“So it’s been, like, a really kind of emotional transition. But at the same time, like, all your dreams coming true and it’s just been a phenomenal year. Like, my best year, I think, since my kids were born,” she told Today.

Jennifer Garner on the Today show

Jennifer Garner also did a recent interview on the Today show, though she wasn’t talking about her personal life and her kids. Instead, she opened up about her work on behalf of the nonprofit Save the Children, a charity she has been part of for 15 years as both an ambassador and board member.

“We have a lot of work to do,” Garner told Today’s Cynthia McFadden in the interview, “but we will dig in.”

The ‘13 Going on 30′ actress had flown in to help on the ground after the floods in Kentucky last year.

Director of Save the Children, Mark Shriver, reflected on Garner’s quick actions to fly in to help.

“Jen had 24 hours,” Shriver said in an interview, “I thought I was going to have to pitch her because she’s been working like crazy this year, but she said, ‘We’re past that. I’m going.’”
