Bob Bryar, former drummer for My Chemical Romance, was found dead at 44 in his Tennessee home.
According to reports, authorities discovered his body on November 27, noting it was badly decomposed, suggesting he had been deceased for some time. He was last seen alive on November 4. No signs of foul play were evident, as his possessions remained undisturbed.
Bryar joined My Chemical Romance in 2004, replacing original drummer Matt Pelissier. He contributed to the band’s acclaimed 2006 album, “The Black Parade,” and remained with the group until 2010. After leaving the band, Bryar stepped away from the music industry, later working in real estate and supporting animal rescue organizations.
In recent years, Bryar was open about his mental health struggles, revealing in 2015 that he felt “angry” and “suicidal” after his departure from the band. In 2023, he shared that he had contemplated suicide but chose not to for the sake of his loved ones.
At the time of writing, My Chemical Romance has not publicly commented on Bryar’s passing. Fans and fellow musicians have expressed their condolences, remembering his contributions to the band’s success.
