Britney Spears has finally spoken up about her divorce from Sam Asghari, a separation that follows just 14 months of marriage and over 6 years of being together.

Asghari formally filed for divorce from the pop icon on August 16, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for the marital dissolution. The specific date of separation was noted as July 28, 2023, as reported by sources.

The journey for Spears and Asghari began with their engagement in September 2021 after a nearly five-year relationship. Less than a year after their engagement, the couple exchanged vows in June 2022 during a ceremony hosted at Spears’ estate in Thousand Oaks, California.
