Update:

It’s been nearly three years since BTS announced that they would be putting the project on pause while the members of the group fulfilled their mandatory military service. Every able-bodied male aged 18 to 28 must perform between 18 and 21 months of military service in South Korea.

Last week RM, V, Jimin, and JungKook were released from the Army after 18 months of service. They followed J-Hope who wrapped up his mandatory service in October and Jin who finished in June last year.

With six of the seven members of the South Korean boyband having now completed their duties, only Suga is left. He will be discharged on 21 June from his duties as a social service agent, an alternative to military service.

BTS will be getting back together

Despite the long hiatus, during which the K-pop stars did solo work, BTS still has a loyal following of over 30 million fans on Spotify. While exact dates have not been announced yet, those fans will be happy to know that the seven K-pop stars plan to get back together this year.
